We have much room for improvement and many ideas that will further shape the industry.The Automation Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of the automated machines in the warehouse that are electrical and mechanically related which include the automated sortation conveyor belt systems.He/She will monitor the system and machine health and ensure that regular maintenance and updates are conducted.ResponsibilitiesEquipment Installation, Maintenance and Troubleshooting Understand and identify mechanical system components e.g. motors, VFDs, conveyor belts and structural fittingsAssist in installation and replacement of parts when requiredSource for spare parts if required for quick turnaroundPerform troubleshooting, repair and servicing of equipment when requiredConduct routine maintenance checks to ensure overall health of machine and systemCoordinate and work with vendor(s) to rectify major component system failuresInvestigate and identify the root cause of failures and provide solutions to mitigate future occurrencesRequirements1 - 2 years of servicing and repair experience is preferableDiploma in any fieldGood team player with ability to interact with all levelsGood analytical skills with a positive attitude to take on challenges / responsibilitiesSelf-motivated, proactive and results oriented
