Candidate Requirements:
This position is ONLY open to candidates who are US Citizens or Green Card Holders (Permanent Residents). Candidates on all other work visas are not permitted. This role is NOT open to corp2corp (c2c) or corp2hire (C2H).
Job Location:
This role will be based at a client facility in Plymouth, MI. There will likely be some travel to Novi, MI for training.
Compensation:
$30/hr to $32/hr (overtime paid over 40 hours at 1.5x).
Benefits:

• PTO will be available on contract accruing at 1 hour PTO for every 35 hours worked up to 40 hours per year. When going direct hire, there will be significantly more PTO.
Job Description:
HRU Technical Resources is partnering with a global service provider to the automotive and component supply industry. We are looking to find an Automotive Crash Test Technician to be based at client facility in Plymouth, MI. These roles will support crash testing preparation and make sure vehicle airbag systems are fault free and ready for deployment and data collection. Outside crash testing, technicians may be required to support bench setup, prototype vehicle builds and ECU reflashes if necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Support customer with parts release activities following customer process
• Support customer bench setup, testing and debugging
• Support customer builds as needed (ECU supply, reflash...)
• Support customer in crash testing setup and data collection
• Support crash planning and testing
• Support homologation testing
Qualifications/Requirements:
• 2-3 years knowledge in Automotive Embedded system
• CAN, Canoe, Diagnostic tools knowledge
• Good knowledge in ECU diagnostics, Airbag ECU knowledge preferred
• Vehicle structures knowledge
• Very good Communication Skills – Especially with customer
• Flexible working time (sometimes the customer requires long hours and weekend work)
• Test and Measurement procedure
• Knowledge in ECU diagnostics and reflash tools
• Knowledge in customer processes
Experience/Education:
• High School Diploma / GED at a minimum. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Work Environment / Other Info:
• 1st (day) shift position. Work will be Monday to Friday. Generally will average 7am to 4pm. Occasional overtime is likely. Any overtime is paid at 1.5x.
• Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise at times. Some duties performed outside in all weather conditions.
• This is a physically demanding position. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty pounds. Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet. Regularly stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
