Position: Aviation Project Engineer
Location: 5959 Waterford District Drive, Suite 410, Miami, FL 33126
EAC Consulting, Inc. (EAC) is looking for an Aviation Project Engineer to join our aviation team, preferably in our Miami office but also open to working out of our Broward or West Palm Beach office.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Technical knowledge of civil engineering and design standards.
- Extensive knowledge of codes, principles and practices of engineering.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the project development process.
- CADD (including 3D) and other design tools
- Excellent verbal, technical writing and presentation skills.
- Problem solving and analytical skills.
- Able to evaluate problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and determine solutions.
- Able to share experience and knowledge with others on the team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Engineering:
- Engineer of Record where needed.
- Makes design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications. Performs calculations using engineering formulas and skills.
- Serves as a technical specialist.
- Provides technical direction over engineering interns and designers.
- Effectively performs constructability/quality control reviews.
Contract Documents
- Develops plans, specifications and reports in accordance with engineering standards and client requirements.
- Leads or participates in the design process to deliver successful projects. Work may include:
- field investigations or inspections
- detailed design work and plans preparation
- detailed checks of design computations and plans done by others
- coordination of specific design elements
Project Management:
- Plans, schedules, conducts and/or coordinates technical and administrative assignments with the project team that meet client requirements.
- Participates in project development or business development activities with clients.
Business Development:
- Assists with technical write-ups or other content as needed for proposals.
- Assists with concept development for project approaches, etc. in proposals.
- Participates in project development or business development activities with clients.
EXPERIENCE:
- 9+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience working on small- to medium-sized projects within Airport.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) required.
WORK ENVIORMENT
- Full-time position, preferably in our Miami office but also open to working out of our Ft. Lauderdale or West Palm Beach office.
