Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Biomedical Scientist with a focus on bacteriology to join our team at St George's Hospital. The role involves working with a range of laboratory equipment and performing critical tasks to support microbiology diagnostics.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform bacteriology-related laboratory work, including using analysers and equipment
- Read and interpret culture plates for identification of bacterial pathogens
- Set up and execute susceptibility tests to guide treatment decisions
- Maintain accurate records of tests, results, and procedures
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality control standards
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff and clinical teams to ensure effective workflow

Requirements:

- Proven experience in bacteriology and microbiology techniques
- Knowledge of laboratory analysers and equipment
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting culture plates
- Experience in setting up and performing susceptibility tests

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
