Battery Engineer – Value Optimization & Project Management

Job Description Key Responsibilities: Lead value optimization initiatives for battery systems and related electrical and electronic components, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality and performance. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and procurement teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and material optimization. Manage battery system projects from concept to production, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Conduct market and competitor benchmarking to identify innovative solutions and maintain competitiveness. Oversee supplier interactions, including technical reviews, cost negotiations, and performance assessments. Develop and monitor project plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and timely delivery of milestones. Analyze system performance and provide recommendations for improvement, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address project challenges and bottlenecks. Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, including reporting project status, risks, and opportunities. Support product launches and ensure seamless integration of battery systems into vehicle platforms.     Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in battery system engineering or a related role in the automotive industry. Strong knowledge of electrical and electronic components used in battery systems. Experience in value engineering, cost analysis, and optimization. Proven project management skills, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication. Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar software for battery and component design. Familiarity with automotive standards and regulations related to battery systems and electronics. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-driven attitude. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams. Fluency in English is required.   Additional Information All candidates MUST reside and be legally authorized to work in México.
