The Team
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with automotive experience to deliver complex vehicle features that are cross-functional. You may come from the following (but not limited to) backgrounds: Powertrain, ADAS, Infotainment, Automotive systems, or software.

Responsibilities
- Raw up the system boundary diagram (We already have a draft that can be used as a starting point)
- Obtain electrical specification from each of the module owners to understand the power consumption in each of the operating modes. (i.e. Review and refine the data in the spreadsheet that was done previously)
- Determine the use cases for LV charging and determine the total power consumption of the LV system for each of the use cases.
- Review the charging strategy, propose potential improvements, and identify the additional functions that may need to be implemented by each component.
- Determine the battery requirements based on the use cases and agreed charging strategy.
- Owns a feature or multiple features from conception to implementation to validation.
- Communicate and maintain feature/function level status.
- Defines the vehicle system features/functions and allocates the vehicle system elements to build up the functional architecture.
- Works with ECU engineers, program managers, electrical architecture team, product strategy and other stakeholders to align strategy and execution.
- Refines use cases (end-to-end functions) to identify vehicle system features/functions.
- Specifies vehicle system features/functions and is responsible for the completeness towards stakeholder requirements and establishes traceability, verification criteria and responsibilities.
- Specifies non-functional requirements, process and project execution requirements, requirements for vehicle test and validation, requirements for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with engineers to review software implementation ensuring compliance with requirements.
Qualifications, & Experience required
- At least 8 years of experience in battery management controls & software development in automotive including physics-based battery modelling for estimation & controls
- Good Control Systems background including system identification, estimation theory and model predictive control techniques,
