Battery Field Service Engineer

Job Description

My client is looking for a Battery Engineer / Field Service Engineer to complete work on a range of customer's sites. They are ideally looking for an experiened Battery Engineer, who is confident, with excellent communication and customer service skills. This is a permanent full-time position.

Location: Doncaster - As this is a field service role, you can live upto 1 hour away from Doncaster

\n

Hours: Monday to Friday dayshift - 40 hour week with no call outs / weekends

\n

Salary: £28,000pa to £35,000pa DOE + overtime paid at x1.5

\n

KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

\n

\n
• Maintain and repair forklift batteries and charging equipment on customer sites

\n

• Liaise closely with Key Accounts and carry out repairs and services as required

\n

• Carry out battery topping, cleaning, and maintenance on customer premises

\n

• Shift covers for sickness & holiday support

\n

• Submit all job sheets and reports to head office on a weekly basis

\n

• Safely prepare equipment for transportation

\n

• Build up strong relationships with members of staff and customers

\n

• Work closely with the service department to plan and schedule jobs and prioritise urgent callouts

\n

\n

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

\n

\n
• Knowledge of forklift batteries & chargers is desirable but not essential

\n

• Background in Battery & Charger repairs & maintenance is desirable but not essential

\n

• Excellent communication skills within the company and externally with customers

\n

• Must hold Full UK Driving Licence, as company van will be provided

\n

• Ability to function as part of a team

\n

• Diligent and conscientious attitude with the ability to prioritise a busy workload

\n

• Ability to work unsupervised

\n

• Well organised, confident and professional

\n

\n

Commutable from: Leeds, Barnsley, Rotherham, Sheffield, Huddersfield, Lincoln, York, Bradford and surrounding areas.
