Eden Scott are proud to be supporting a renewable energy developer with a global presence is seeking a Battery Storage Expert Project Developer for Hybrid & Storage Energy Systems. Our client has been successful in developing, constructing and maintaining wind farms, solar, biogas, Battery and hydrogen plants with an output of more than 3.7GW globally.
Provide assistance to the Development and Construction Project Teams in the development and construction of Stand-Alone Battery and Hybrid projects for our client in Ireland and the UK. This includes, but is not limited to, assistance in selecting new sites as well as in the preparation of site layouts, planning applications and grid application documents. Contributing to the tendering and construction phases of projects. Staying up to date with regulation and policy relevant to Energy Storage Technologies and continued engagement with relevant industry bodies and public consultations. Also, to work with staff from other departments worldwide.
Your passion
- Identify, validate, and develop hybrid renewable energy and standalone energy storage projects ranging from 5MW to 200MW+
- Supporting the project development/design teams creating layouts and preparing planning applications
- Supporting the development team to progress planning and grid applications through the approval process
- Follow strategic approaches for the identification of valuable sites for storage locations at both the distribution and transmission level
- Continuous evaluation of regulations and policy in the Ireland and UK markets and Battery Markets
- Support the development team in their effort to influence and manage a range of stakeholders
Your qualifications
- Academic degree in an economic, technical, engineering discipline
- 3-5+ years post-qualification experience in a relevant field of project development/management
- Knowledge or experience in developing large renewable projects and ideally battery storage projects
- Knowledge or experience executing large renewable projects and ideally battery storage projects through pre-tendering, tendering and construction
- Know the permitting and application processes in Great Britain
- Strong business sense and have successfully demonstrated this in previous roles including decision makers in municipalities, system operators and landowners (both public and private)
- Supporting the Project Teams during the pre-construction and construction phases
- Deliver projects within budget and on time with continuous, structured reporting to senior management
- Carrying out tasks / projects assigned by the Hybrid and Energy Storage Department in Germany and other ad hoc projects as required by the local Directors
- Proven skills in interacting with senior managers of both the private and public sector
- Excellent communication, project management and negotiation skills
- Business fluent in English
