
BIM Structural Engineer
Job description We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer with strong expertise in steel structure design and concrete foundations, combined with a solid understanding of Revit and BIM methodologies, and interested in working on international projects. While proficiency in Revit and BIM is important, design knowledge and experience in structural engineering are the top priorities for this role. Responsabilities -Perform structural analysis and design for steel structures and concrete foundations in compliance with industry standards and regulations. -Develop structural models, drawings, and documentation using Revit and BIM methodologies for multidisciplinary coordination. -Work collaboratively with architects, MEP engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of structural designs. -Conduct structural calculations and simulations to validate the integrity and stability of designs. -Review and optimize designs based on constructability, cost-efficiency, and safety. -Support the development of BIM workflows to improve project efficiency and coordination. Requirements Required experience The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in structural design, particularly in steel structures. Must Qualifications -Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s or specialization in Structural Engineering is a plus). -Minimum 3 years of experience in structural design, particularly steel structures -Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design codes (ACI, AISC, ASCE, IBC) -Experience with Revit and BIM methodologies for structural modeling and documentation. -Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS, Robot Structural, STAAD Pro). -B2+ English proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking). -Residency in Bucaramanga or its metropolitan area. Plus Qualifications Experience in industrial and/or commercial structural projects located in the US. Knowledge of RAM Connection and/or IDEA Statica for steel connections. Familiarity with parametric modeling and BIM automation. Experience working with Autodesk Construction Cloud. Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
