BOSS Energy have been retained by a leading energy transition company who have an opening for a Biomass Process Engineer. The client is developing projects for electricity production plants using renewable energies, particularly biomass. The Biomass Team provide support to different teams: the Project Development, Construction, Operation and Asset Owners. You will be collecting feedback in order to improve existing power plants, under construction and planned.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and analysis of parameters of operating plants (production, fuel consumption, electricity consumption, water and chemical product consumption, chemical analyzes of process fluids, etc.)
- Monitoring and analysis of measurements taken (portable smoke analyzer, ultrasonic device for measuring boiler thicknesses during shutdowns, control of electrical cabinets and heat insulation by infrared thermography, etc.)
- Inspections during scheduled or accidental technical shutdowns (reporting and advanced technical analyses)
- Implementation of analysis for preventive maintenance (vibration or ultrasound analysis)
- Support for monitoring the compliance of power plants and carrying out mandatory services with a control office (atmospheric emissions, quality of aqueous discharges, requalification of ESP, etc.)
- Promotion of improvement procedures and good practices among employees: organize the capitalization of feedback, provide advice to operators, carry out training
What we need from you:
- 3 – 5 years in Process/Chemical Engineering
- University Degree in Chemical Engineer or similar
- Fluency in French
- Hold a Drivers License
- A passion for renewable energy
- Ability to prioritize tasks
