Your new company
My client is a British-based, multinational industrial manufacturing and production company with head offices in Woking. A market leader, they have a strong brand presence and solid reputation. We are seeking a Brand and Design Manager on a full-time basis to run their internal Design Studio, contributing to design work and undertaking the exciting project of improving their capacity, processes, and reinvigorating how they engage with internal stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to spearhead brand projects to revitalise their Brand in the UKI Market.
Your new role
As Brand, Design & Studio Manager, you will take responsibility for the Design Studio; managing a small team, coordinating projects and resources, and undertaking some design projects personally. The Studio is responsible for delivering a broad range of projects for the business - from livery, signage and labels to digital and online designs. You will also have control of the Brand and a core project is to work with the Head of Marketing on how to revitalise this well-known name in the market.
An experienced and capable team, you will bring new energy to the Studio and look at ways to introduce processes that engage internal stakeholders, clarify deliverables for the designers, increase design capacity, and get creative! The team delivers graphic design, copywriting, video editing and production, which you will oversee to ensure innovative and best practice content is delivered to brief and deadline. You will provide creative consultation and guidance to internal customers, and as 'Brand Guardian' you will ensure the business and key stakeholders understand and implement brand guidelines and style to achieve consistent and compliant brand communications.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for experienced Studio Managers who have the Operational ability to manage monthly deadlines, project goals, expectations, and workflows to ensure a smooth production process with on-time delivery. You will also be a skilled Designer, with online and offline design experience, able to pick up design projects personally where required. You will have knowledge of the full production process, and be able to manage the deliverables of the print suppliers.
Ideally, you will have some B2B marketing experience with brand management and guardianship, as well as an ability to work both strategically and tactically with a very good understanding of marketing campaign planning and implementation. You will need a full working knowledge and expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, and PowerPoint) all within a Mac OS X operating environment, and experience working with multiple stakeholders and able to work in a collaborative and creative environment.
