  3. Minimum of 3 years of strong experience working as a Boiler Engineer or in a similar role
  4. Valid boiler operator license/certification or the ability to obtain one
  5. Experience in building operations and management of BAS and mechanical requirement
  6. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing boiler operations
  7. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data analysis software tools
  8. Additional relevant certifications are advantageous
  9. Good communications and customer relations

Building and Boiler Engineer Responsibilities

Overview
The Building Engineer position requires DC 3rd Class Engineer License and a diverse set of skills to effectively manage and maintain industrial facilities like boilers and building automation systems, and controls. Core skills such as English and plumbing repair, replace, and install including industrial preventative maintenance experience are essential for smooth daily operations. Premium skills include knowledge of programmable logic controllers, boilers, hvac systems, and welding electrical, and as needed plumbing techniques will be valuable assets in this role. Additionally, relevant leadership or supervisory in field service will contribute to success of the position. Good problem-solving skills/troubleshooting, and resolutions or recommendations. Excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, hands-on experience, and strong analytical skills to excel in this dynamic environment for overall building and boiler, building automation systems expertise.

Required Qualifications

  • DC 3st Class Engineer License required
  • Minimum of 3 years of strong experience working as a Boiler Engineer or in a similar role or building automation management
  • Valid boiler operator license/certification or the ability to obtain one within specified period
  • Experience in building operations and management of BAS and mechanical requirement
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing boiler operations
  • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data analysis software tools
  • Additional relevant certifications are advantageous
  • Good communications and customer relation

Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on building systems including boilers, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, building automated systems (BAS, eBAS, CMMS)
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment using industrial mechanic experience
- Utilize schematics to diagnose and resolve issues with precision
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with the team to implement preventative maintenance programs
- Utilize CMMS to track work orders and maintenance schedules
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly and efficiently
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs -Manage or supervise technicians, workers and team members to coordinate and achieve work goals
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed -Oncall required for coverage may include weekends, evenings, and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift (Monday to Friday typical)
  • Oncall (weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed for building coverage)
