Building Inspector, Combo Inspector

BHC Consultants is a municipal consulting engineering firm providing on call services to local, state, and federal agencies. The staff of BHC Consultants has been providing building and construction code compliance services in the State of Washington for over 25 years. Our Building Code and Construction Compliance division is looking for qualified combination or single certified inspectors for inspection coverage with our jurisdiction clients as well as multiple Western Washington Tribal entities. This work is mostly on call however, several of our clients may be requesting full time commitments from time to time. Currently, BHC has need for a combination inspector in Clark County for a large hotel project.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be an ICC certified building inspector as a minimum but prefer a combination certification.
• Minimum five years of agency building department inspection experience.
• Must be computer literate and adept at utilizing database and spreadsheet programs.
• Must have and maintain a valid Washington State Drivers license.

Qualifications

It is highly desirable to also possess an ICC mechanical code certification as well as UPS plumbing certification. Also, qualifications to provide electrical inspections in Washington State.

Hours of Work

This position is strictly part time and on call.
