Building Services Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer



Location: Sheffield (potential for Hybrid)



Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 DOE



We're seeking an innovative Design Engineer to join our client’s forward-thinking team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a Design Engineer to take ownership of projects from inception through operation.



Key Responsibilities for the Design Engineer:



* Design and implement low carbon energy systems



* Produce detailed drawings, reports, and specifications



* Evaluate existing building energy systems



* Conduct on-site evaluations during construction



* Perform post-construction assessment



* Collaborate with multi-professional teams



Requirements:



* Degree in Mechanical, Building Services, or Energy Engineering



* 3-5 years’ experience as a Design Engineer in building services



* Strong understanding of heat transfer and fluid mechanics



* Experience in mechanical services design for multi-apartment buildings



* Knowledge of energy centre mechanical services



* Experience with low carbon energy sources



* Understanding of energy legislation and compliance



* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Procore



* Excellent communication skills
