What You’ve AccomplishedYou have completed a 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and are registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering License (P. Eng). You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 2 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology. As a Buried Piping Engineer in Kincardine, Ontario, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. Your work will include: Under direct supervision, this role includes standard engineering work requiring application of standard established techniques and procedures to carry out tasks in support of Nuclear Facilities. Assignments involve responsibility for planning/conducting complete tasks or portions of a larger project under direction of more experienced staff. Provides technical support related to planning, designing, analyzing, constructing, and maintaining structures, systems, and components. Provides engineering advice, as needed.Performs standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems according to relevant standards.Demonstrates duties and tasks related to the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design processes.Supports the design and maintenance for Bruce Power's buried piping programReceives assistance and instructions on unusual or more complex features and possible solutions, as needed.Ensures compliance with government, organization, and customer engineering standards.May independently evaluate, select, and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.Works on special projects, as directed.Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologiesActively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd This position requires up to 25% travel.
