Job Description

Develop, interpret and implement operational concepts for planning/optimization, forecasting, modeling, and internal controls to better balance platform capabilities – customer, plant & resources. Perform in-
depth, moderate-to-complex technical analysis to determine present and future operational recommendations & plans. Gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for operational plans, trended future requirements, and operating go-forward plans.

  • Apply knowledge of operations and business analytics to optimize the needs of the platform; analysis will aid with the resolution of issues to meet customer needs & expectations.
  • Analyze operational data & reports, performing studies with business recommendations relative to the platform optimization goals.
  • Perform complex planning & capacity analyses.
  • Analyze options for platform improvements.
  • Actively participate and interact with internal customers to understand business needs, identify the best solution, and architect the processes to meet the needs.
  • Assist in the analysis and design of new business processes around requirements definition information gathering, and consistent documentation methodologies.
  • Using multiple information gathering techniques, conduct facilitated sessions to define detailed, business requirements for solution development.
  • Establish and maintain clear scope boundaries for the solution.
  • Develop clear and concise requirements for the appropriate solution(s).
  • May formulate alternative solutions to satisfy business requirements.
  • Develop documentation of prioritized functional requirements that can directly be converted to test plans, use cases, and system conceptual designs to meet performance targets and development project plans.
  • Analyze methodologies for process improvements, better utilization of resources, produce enhancements, improved communications, and faster issue resolution.
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  •  Able to demonstrate the ability to solve more complex problems by analyzing variables and
  • applying appropriate solutions learned through experience and proficiency in understanding the job.
  • Must be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriately.
  • Must be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customers and/or co workers at the level of detail required to resolve issues of moderate complexity.
  • Strong knowledge of operations & planning.
  • Able to work with managers throughout the company in analyzing operational situations & plans.
  • Able to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, MAC, or other technical tools in completing assignments.
  • Able to demonstrate continued expertise in the primary tools or applications used in completing daily work assignments.
  • Must be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations.
  • Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.



Additional Information

  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to functional work is required.

RRD's current salary range for this role is $77,900 to $124,600 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
