Business Development Engineer – Renewable Energy

Overview Description Hire Resolve’s client, a leading company in the renewable energy industry, is looking for a highly motivated Business Development Engineer to join their team in Cape Town.As a Business Development Engineer, you will be responsible for driving sales and business growth within the renewable energy sector. Your role will involve developing sales opportunities for renewable energy solutions, focusing on medium to large projects. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to develop optimized technical solutions, and participate in contract negotiations.Responsibilities: Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.Identify and target potential customers and markets for renewable energy solutions.Collaborate with internal teams and customers to develop custom technical solutions.Prepare and deliver sales presentations to customers.Negotiate and close business deals, ensuring customer satisfaction.Stay up to date on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the renewable energy industry. Technical understanding of solar PV, battery energy storage systems, diesel generators and electrical reticulationAbility to work with customers and partners on technical questions and solutionsAbility to coordinate amongst multidisciplinary teams (both internally and externally)Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and spoken.Ability to work well in a matrix organizational structure.Knowledge of project management will be advantageousPrevious large scale solar installations knowledge will be an advantage.Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering Benefits Salary: negotiable Full TimeCompany Social
