Business Development / Sales Engineer

Solon area-based Actuation Products manufacturer has an immediate opening for a Business Development Person to support the sales and opportunity development efforts for Kyntronics unique Servo Hydraulic Products. This is a hands-on role, directly promoting innovative technology solutions into multiple vertical market segments and territories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist with organizing & supporting the sales channels with joint sales calls

2. Assist with recruiting, training, and developing our Sales Channel Network of Representatives & Distributors

3. Assist with lead using various marketing tools including Hubspot

4. Develop & execute targeted growth strategies

5. Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities through direct efforts, sales channels and other lead tools using effective proposals and pricing strategies.

6. Collaborate closely with Applications Engineering to develop customer solutions including professional proposal , customer presentation and closing business opportunities.

7. Actively seek, develop, and maintain new business opportunities with new and current customers.

8. Ensure the voice of the customer (VOC) is communicated throughout the organization and is a critical input into new products and customer solutions.

9. Identify and attend key trade shows focused on cultivating new business opportunities.

10. Other duties as applicable.

Essential Traits:

1. Is organized – can effectively coordinate multiple projects, sales channels & customers – has exceptional organizational skills

2. Is a “sales hunter” and self-starter, results-oriented with a passion for increasing sales, new business development and channel partner development.

3. Strong technical skills. Able to easily grasp product capabilities and effectively communicate technical solutions to prospects and customers.

4. Able to maximize the effectiveness of Sales Channel Partners and marketing efforts.

5. Growth oriented, able to motivate the team to think creatively and drive Sales.

6. Willing and able to travel regularly (25% - 50%).

7. Excellent communications and inter-personal skills (verbal and non-verbal) -- including the key trait of listening and understanding customer issues.

8. Builds relationships with customers, channel partners and internal team members.

9. Hard-working, hands-on, with a strong sense of urgency… “get the job done” approach.

10. Respect for others, high integrity.

11. Excellent computer skills and highly proficient using Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent applicable experience is required.

2. A minimum of 2 years of experience successfully selling highly engineered products both directly and through sales channels is required. Experience with mechatronic solutions is .

3. Experience with Motion Control products and/or Hydraulic Systems and markets are highly .

4. Proven track record of sales achievements including new product sales into new markets.

5. Strong professional references.
