Job Description: Business Methods EngineerThe Business Method Engineer (BME) is responsible for deploying, maintaining and supporting reliable, efficient and integrated production solutions to Operations, in order to enable industrial excellence and contribute to the Company’s profitability and competitiveness. It includes organizing and executing the Manufacturing Operations Support for one or more of our relevant tools including Manufacturing Execution System, line balancing,Technical Shop floor Support etc and to act within a resolver group to ensure business continuity by supporting end-users in the plants & Final Assembly Line(FAL) to provideME expertise.A BME also works to grow, develop and structure the support network centrally, internationally and locally for all our relevant tools.Key responsibilities and tasks:● Sustain, harmonize and Develop/Deploy Processes, Methods, Tools, Competences and Datamanagement, including:○ Manufacturing Execution System (MES)○ Standard Line Balancing (SLB)○ Outstanding Work management (O/W)○ Industrial Process Diagram (IPD)○ Consistency with other functions (e.g. Quality, PSCL, IM, Engineering, etc.)○ Identification and sharing of best practices across stations Plants/FALs● Supporting Manufacturing Engineer/Process Performance Engineer/ Technical Shop Floor Support engineer to resolve the operational issues in Plants/FAL’s by creating knowledge articles or a standard Process Methods Tools required for the line balancing, Manufacturing Execution System, Outstanding work management, ANDON, etc.● Act as Level 3 or Level 4 by resolving operational incidents raised by end-users or local supportsite.Operational incident management will be done by using the Airbus platform. Capitalize on the support activity by creating and publishing knowledge regarding either the resolution of an incident or simply a standard document that needs to be shared with either the end-user or the resolver population.Each operational incident needs to be linked to a Knowledge Article.● Analyze local Knowledge Articles and identify if KA has to be populated to all NATCOs● Validate and translate Knowledge Articles● Follow-up the ME Implementation Activities by creating dashboards/reports for different tools.● Development of the ME competences, knowledge and community of practiceContribute/Support:● Production System maturity objectives and ramp-up of ProgramsEDUCATION:B.Tech. / B.E. / M.Tech. / M.E. in Mechanical / Industrial / Aeronautical Engineering.REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:● Knowledge on Manufacturing Engineering processes. (preferably Aerospace)● Good Understanding of engineering fundamentals like lean Manufacturing principles, Master Production Scheduling, PERT, Manufacturing and assembly concepts, Process Planning● Industrial Architecture Dossier (Product build concept, industrial planning, requirements regarding industrial performances)● Standard Line Balancing / Gear Box grouping SLB hypothesis (different rate, different resources, different organization,different standard,different version …)● White Space reduction action plan and Red Space analysis● Knowledge on Manufacturing Execution system● Good stakeholder managementGood To have:● General awareness of aircraft and its components.
