As our Business Systems Analyst, youll play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutionsensuring seamless system integration, process optimization, project delivered as expected, and data-driven decision-making. In this role, you will be a key contributor to optimizing our business processes and systems through the effective use of technology. You will work closely with business stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs, analyze current systems and workflows, identify areas for improvement, and propose and implement technology-driven solutions. This role requires a blend of analytical thinking, technical aptitude, strong communication skills, and a passion for problem-solving.
WhatYoull Do (Key Responsibilities)
Business & Technical Analysis (30%)
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for digital commerce and enterprise systems.
- Conduct gap analysis between current and desired business processes, identifying optimization opportunities.
- Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
- Work with client and architect to define non-functional requirements like performance, security, WCAG, etc.
System Integration Design (25%)
- Conduct feasibility assessments and stakeholder reviews to validate proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with technical architects and engineers to design API integrations with client systems to meet the end-to-end integration requirements.
Project Implementation & Agile Execution (20%)
- Lead project execution from discovery to implementation, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery.
- Work within Agile methodologiescontributing to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and requirement refinements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve roadblocks and ensure smooth execution.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management (15%)
- Act as a liaison between business, IT, and internal development team.
- Provide training and documentation to end users for new system implementations.
- Work with project manager to conduct project scope control and change request management through the project lifecycle.
Data-Driven Decision Making & Reporting (10%)
- Develop key performance metrics and dashboards to monitor requirement qualify, requirement traceability, change request and SIT and UAT qualify.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive business and process improvements.
Performance Objectives:
- Requirements Accuracy: Less than 5% requirement-related defects post-development.
- Project Delivery: 95% of projects delivered on time and within scope.
- Process Efficiency Gains: Reduction of manual processes by 25% through automation and system improvements.
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: 85%+ positive feedback on system usability and enhancements.
- Data Integrity & Reporting: 95% accuracy in reports and dashboards supporting business decisions.
What You Bring (Required Skills & Experience)
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in digital commerce, B2B industry, manufacture and distribution will be a plus.
- Strong expertise on eCommerce platforms (Shopify, Salesforce, commercetools, Oro Commerce, Oracle, and experience in integration with ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Hands-on experience with API integrations, and data modeling.
- Experience working in Agile teams (Product Owners, Engineers, QA).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
Bonus Skills (Nice-to-Have)
- Knowledge of cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in AI-driven analytics and automation.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (GDPR, SOC2, PCI-DSS, etc.).
- Understanding of omnichannel digital commerce solutions.
