Buyer Assistant

Airswift is seeking an experienced Buyer Assistant, to work with one of our main clients, supporting Turnarounds & Projects execution in their sit in La Porte, TX or Remote.



Job Responsibilities:

  • Use SAP to request for Materials & Services, Vendor & Stakeholder and follow-ups for resolution on any invoicing issues
  • Serve as single point of contact between Turnarounds & Projects Team and Procurement to ensure all Service and Material Requisitioning requests are processed
  • Collaboratively coach and train Requisition Requestors for driving quality inputs
  • Create high-quality & timely Requisitions in SAP while following best practices
  • Validate invoices for accuracy as part of payment process
  • Interface with internal stakeholders on seeking required clarification for Vendor invoice approvals
  • Collaborate with Requisition Requestors, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Vendors for resolving invoice issues as well as goods receiving in SAP
  • Lead initiatives to facilitate/resolve escalated problems
  • Diligently work daily to meet established KPIs for requisition creation, invoice approvals
  • Take self-initiatives in follow-ups, driving results - with minimal supervision



Required Skills / Abilities:

  • SAP Services & Materials Requisitioning experience (Minimum 5 years), Turnarounds experience
  • SAP Invoice Review & Approvals utilizing VIM Analytics (Minimum 5 years)
  • Strong leadership, multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong written & oral communication, organizational, and planning skills
  • Self-motivated and willingness to learn and improve
  • High ethical standards
  • Willingness to use and learn current and future systems/applications
  • Willing to work a wide variety of scheduled days and hours
  • Works professionally and harmoniously with employees, peers, management, support personnel, program participants and business area persons

 Education and Licensing Requirements:

  • SAP training with Requisitioning and Invoice processing is a must
  • Minimum high school diploma
  • Proficient in the use of computers and business software, including Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), OneNote, SharePoint.

 

Work Hours Requirements:

  • Typical work week is 40 hours. Longer hours are required during Turnaround execution which may also require working weekends. Travel may be required in U.S. and Canada, primarily California, U.S. Gulf Coast, Edmonton, Ontario, and U.S. Northeast. The work environment is diverse from an office/home setting to onsite at Company operating field facilities.
