Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Steel Frame Designer & CNC Specialist to join our team. This role combines creativity and precision, requiring expertise in designing custom cabinets using SketchUp and programming CNC machines using Fusion 360. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CAD/CAM software, cabinet design, and CNC machining.

Our cabinets are built using straightforward yet durable steel frames, focusing on efficiency and precision rather than complex woodworking. This role involves designing basic steel structures and programming CNC machines for streamlined production.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development: Create detailed cabinet designs and technical drawings using SketchUp.

CNC Programming: Develop precise CNC programs for cabinet manufacturing using Fusion and V Carve.

Prototyping and Testing: Participate in prototype production and ensure designs meet quality standards.

Material Optimization: Plan and optimize material usage for CNC machining processes.

Manufacturing Support: Operate and maintain CNC machines during production runs.

Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to ensure seamless execution of designs.

Quality Assurance: Review and refine designs to ensure accuracy and manufacturability.

Qualifications

Required:

• Proficiency in SketchUp for cabinet design and visualization.

• Demonstrated knowledge of Fusion, V Carve, or similar programs for CNC programming.

• Experience operating CNC machines and troubleshooting issues.

• Demonstrated knowledge of basic MS Office Programs.

• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

• Proficient ability to read a tape measure down to 1/16".

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

:

• Prior experience in furniture or cabinetry design and manufacturing using Auto-CAD or related CAD software with 3-D modeling.

• Knowledge of manufacturing workflows and material properties.

• Certification in CNC operation or programming.
