We have an opportunity with one of our reputed client in India for the position of “ CAD Designer / Drafter II (Facility Layout Developer)”

Position:  CAD Designer / Drafter II (Facility Layout Developer)
Location: Bangalore, India
Experience: 5 Years experience
Duration: 1 year project
Payroll: NES Fircroft

Functional Requirements:

• Bachelor's in engineering in Chemical/Mechanical discipline.  
• Close to 5 years of experience as piping designer / layout developer in projects related   to Oil & Gas and/or Refineries & Petrochemicals. 
• 2D Software: AutoCAD, Micro-Station, SPPID 
• 3D Software: OptiPlant (preferred), AutoCAD Plant 3D, S3D & Aveva E3D
• 3D Review Software: Navisworks 
• 3D model database management: AVEVA Administration
• Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Power point. 
• Digital tools: Aconex, ABE(Aspen Basic Engineering), etc.

Technical skills:
1.    Have good understanding of typical process equipment, their functions, footprint, and meaningful experience of developing facility layout following process requirement as per process flow diagram and P&IDs.
2.    Understand and can apply the plot plan and safety spacing standards. Preferred to have   knowledge of stick built & modularized layouts.
3.    Can effectively apply constructability, accessibility, maintainability, operability and plant safety knowledge in plot plan development.
4.    Hands-on expertise of 2D/3D modelling tools in piping design, equipment and structure modelling. 
5.    Adequate understanding of equipment piping design, piping flexibility and support requirement.
6.    Preferred to have knowledge of various structures, buildings and pipe racks (3D model).
7.    Knowledgeable in interpretation of site layout drawing, existing piping network drawing including underground piping layouts.
8.    Knowledgeable in piping components, different type of valves, piping material specifications, and experienced in generating piping Isometrics, general arrangement drawings & material take off.
9.    Interface with the project teams and appropriate technical disciplines, such as Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Cost, etc. to gather input and feedback on deliverables.
10.    Troubleshoot/escalate unresolved issues in the tools, execution to minimize quality issues, delays in deliverables.
11.    Experience in organizing and uploading drawings to web based storage sites/collaboration with project sites to share drawings with teams. 
12.    Preferred to have work experience in Pre-FEED, FEED along with the Detail Engineering phase of the projects.
