Job Description:

MEI has a job opportunity for a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our team. As a CAD Drafter, you will play a crucial role in translating conceptual MEP designs into detailed construction documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and modeling using AutoCAD software, with a passion for precision and accuracy.

Job Duties:

• Create accurate and detailed MEP drawings using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop comprehensive construction documents.
• Ensure that all drawings and models adhere to industry standards and company guidelines.
• Assist in the coordination with other disciplines i.e.. Mechanical, Architectural, Civil etc.
• Review and revise drawings based on feedback from project managers and clients.
• Stay updated with the latest software updates and industry best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD software. REVIT experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Previous experience working in an MEP firm or similar industry.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings to include but not all required: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Architectural
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) concepts is a plus.
• Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team.
• Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.
