CAD Modelling Engineer

Job Description

Assystem Energy & Infrastructureare recruiting for a CAD Modelling Engineerto work at our customers site inDerbyon a contract basis.

The role is ideally suited to someone with substantial experience producing technical drawings using Autodesk AutoCAD & Revit software packages within construction related industries, preferably from a drawing office background. Knowledge of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) process and experience using Autodesk Revit & Navisworks would be beneficial however this is not an essential requirement for the role

Contract length: 18-24 months

Location: Derby

Contract type: PAYE via Umbrella solution

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Updating legacy drawings to incorporate maintenance changes, refurbishments and changes of use, updating contractor drawings onto business standards and drawing templates
• Support new estate projects with the production, update & review of accurate 2D drawings
• Assistance with filing drawings onto the RR filing systems
• Assisting onsite Engineers in drawing production
• Review project files for compliance with Standards/protocols, review & Implement best practice standards and procedures
• Coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements and in conjunction with other disciplines.
• Helping to technically deliver CAD & BIM projects.
  
  

Qualifications

Experience:

• Excellent in-depth working knowledge of AutoCAD versions 2014 onwards
• Experience working in construction related industries
• Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake above responsibilities
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
• Excellent organisational skills
• Self-motivated and able to take responsibility
• Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks
• Flexible attitude

**Security clearance**


This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.

Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
