CAD Technician
What Your Day Will Look Like:
:
As a CAD technician, you’ll provide technical drafting support and assist in the preparation of plans for a wide range of municipal and transportation infrastructure projects. This includes reviewing engineering drawing packages in collaboration with project managers and engineers. You’ll work on planning documents, preliminary designs, detailed designs, and permitting documents. The CAD technician reports to the project manager.
What You'll Do:
:
• Review construction plans, details, and figures for drafting and design.• Transform initial rough designs, sketches, and mark-ups into finished plan drawings.• Generate engineering drawings for initial and conclusive plan sets, collaborating closely with other drafters and engineers to ensure a coordinated design.• Assist in the preparation of technical documents and reports.
What You'll Need:
:
• Associate of Science in Engineering Technology.• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D software, and Microstation. • This office job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copy machines. May occasionally be exposed to noise.• While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee may include constant sitting, talking, hearing, repetitive motions and occasional standing, moving, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, and coordination. This job will rarely require lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over to 35 lbs.
