Job Title: CAD Technician - Industrial Design Technician

Location: Seattle, WA

Duration: 4 Months (Contract to hire)

Pay Rate: $36.70/hr to $37.60/hr

Job Description:

• The CAD designer creates and revises intricate drawings using CAD software based on provided sketches, layouts, or notes by Ops Integration. Their primary role includes enhancing designs to aid in system installations.

Services to be performed:

• Develop an understanding of GFC processes and building flow.
• Produce AutoCAD layouts for GFC Retrofits and deployment drawing packages for construction teams.
• Verify drawing accuracy and adherence to standards while collaborating with engineers for model precision and drafting regulations.
• Manage system files and perform maintenance tasks, including backup and storage.
• Collaborate for system installation modifications.
• Perform quality checks and interference examinations on AutoCAD drawings.
• Generate output files for partner teams.

Required skills:

• Effective written and verbal communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Intermediate AutoCAD proficiency.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Adaptability and vigor for a fast-paced environment, demonstrating self-initiative.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Skill in prioritization and communicating expectations to stakeholders.
• Ability to deliver high-quality designs and self-review before design assessments.

Preferred skills:

• Experience across the Engineering design life cycle.
• Management of medium to large engineering projects.
• Basic proficiency in Revit.
• B.S. in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Industrial Design).
• Exposure to Solutions Engineering with Material Handling Equipment.
• Desired experience in industrial design and warehouse optimization.

Top skills:

• 2-4 year of AutoCAD experience with CAD automation tools.
• Experience in industrial design and warehouse optimization with stakeholder coordination.
• Advanced Excel capabilities.

Daily Schedule & OT expectations:

• 40 hours/week, M-F 8-5 PM PST
• Flexibility to meet US time zones required

Work Environment:

• Hybrid: In-office for 3 day's weekly
• Flex hours or remote? 8-5 PM PST - Flexibility to meet US time zones and 10% travel within the continental US during the contract

Years of experience required:

• 2-4 years of AutoCAD drafting in industrial, architectural, or mechanical fields
• Revit experience desired

Degrees or certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred) or AAS in Drafting Technology, or related work experience

• 3+ years of CAD Technician experience
