We are currently seeking a talented CAD Technician - Project Engineer!
Salary: 68K - 78K depending on experience
Essential Responsibilities

  • Utilize CAD software to produce accurate 2D construction drawings, plans, and models based on project specifications and design intent
  • Work closely with Sales, Estimating, and Project Management teams to understand project scope, timelines, and requirements
  • Prepare precise quantity takeoffs and material lists based on the construction drawings, ensuring alignment with project budgets and schedules
  • Review, revise, and update drawings as needed, based on feedback from internal and external stakeholders, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest changes
  • Ensure timely coordination with other internal teams to gather the necessary information for drawing creation and revision
  • Effectively communicate with project stakeholders to resolve any design-related queries, issues, or conflicts
  • Work with subcontractors and suppliers to collect relevant design information and incorporate it into the construction drawings
  • Conduct thorough checks and reviews of construction drawings to ensure accuracy, adherence to standards, and compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical assistance to the Sales and Estimating teams regarding drawing-related inquiries or challenges
  • Stay current with advancements in CAD software and techniques and continuously improve skills and knowledge to enhance the quality of designs and workflow processes
  • Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and other project-related discussions as necessary to gain insights and provide design support


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD software for 2D design
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot and resolve design conflicts or discrepancies
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Prior experience in construction design, drafting, or a related field is required
  • Demonstrate ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Can fluently speak, read, and write English
  • A valid driver's license is required
