Calibration Technician (Metrology)

We are looking for an entry level or intermediate Calibration Technician to join our team in Auckland. This role provides repair and calibration services for our customers, as well as building instruments in-house. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get stuck into a career working in metrology!Duties include:Laboratory-based calibration and repair servicesIn-house assembly of instruments for Sales stockBecoming familiar with our ISO 17025 quality systemProviding excellent customer serviceSupporting the team of calibration technicians and metrologistsWhat You'll Bring:Experience with the use and selection of hand toolsExperience with machining, and fitting/turning/lathe would be beneficial but not essentialAn interest in progressing your career in metrologyGood dexterity and enjoys hands-on work with good attention to detailSimilar industry experience would be beneficial but not essentialAbility to lift 20kg+ regularlyHave good communication skills and will be comfortable interfacing with customersHave a desire for ongoing learning and the ability to develop new skills and knowledge independentlyBe reasonably competent on a computer, although the focus of this role will be practical hands on workYou will be part of a team but will be required to work independently under the direction of the Team Leader.About us:The Measurement & Calibration Centre (MCC) is a leading provider of IANZ-endorsed and in-house calibrations, offering a fit for purpose, quality service in a timely fashion.
