We are currently searching for an experienced CEI Field Engineer to support our Southwest Region located in Texas.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Perform quality assurance inspection to verify work is performed in compliance with the plans and specifications
  • Monitoring safety for staff and sub-consultants
  • Coordinating, communication, and preparing correspondence with Owner, Engineering, and Contractor personnel
  • Processing daily project documentation and construction observations
  • Maintaining project documents in accordance with company and owner requirements
  • Reviewing monthly invoice submittals including quantity of work completed and associated value
  • Preparing monthly project status updates
  • Performing other duties as required

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license Characteristics of a successful Volkert team member:
