A developer and operator of high voltage transmission renewable energy systems is in search of Chief Financial Officer and have begun the process of shortlisting potential profiles. This Chief Financial Officer will act as the Executive Financial Leader across the organization working closely with the CEO on the organization's operational and corporate finance strategy with a focus on initiatives for optimizing current transmission assets and long-term growth goals.
The incumbent will interface, manage, and support the needs of shareholders through the leadership of the regulatory and finance board subcommittees. Manage annual fair value processes including evaluating and selecting key assumptions ensuring completeness and accuracy of fair value model, understand and analyze drivers of value / investment returns against prior year.
It is essential the candidate have a MBA or CPA with corporate finance / corporate development experience dealing with transmission infrastructure systems including exposure to corporate governance principals, utility pricing / tariff rates, transmission market policy, transmission market operations, and the general transmission interconnection process.
The scope of company operations include transmission (t-line), substation, regional control centers, and distribution systems with interconnects to both utility-scale solar and wind assets. All assets and systems are under regulation by Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and Texas Reliability Entity (TRE) compliance standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
CFO / Transmission EVP of Finance - Develops, modifies, and/or implements tactical plans for financial performance management, annual operating goals (short-term & long term), and project execution with guidance from the CEOCFO / Transmission EVP of Finance - Oversee and manage daily operations of the finance, accounting, and treasury functions including invoicing, payments, capital requirements, cash management and liquidity needs of the companyCFO / Transmission EVP of Finance - Oversees and manage daily operations of the contracts and regulatory affairs, including providing strategic directionCFO / Transmission EVP of Finance - Manages the preparation of thLead the preparation of financial forecasts and provide strategic advice and direction on optimizing value to senior management and shareholdersCFO / Transmission EVP of Finance - Ensures compliance with all company, regulatory, State, federal and GAAP requirements through the development, implementation, and maintenance of controls and policiesCFO / Transmission EVP of Finance - Leads regulatory initiatives including rate setting proceedings, CCNs, etc.CFO / EVP of Finance - Leads preparation of annual audits and tax requirements monthly, quarterly and annual financial statementsCFO / Transmission EVP of Finance - Lead the preparation of financial statements, budgets, liquidity forecasts, equity valuations as well as other reports and analyses to the CEO, shareholders, lenders and regulatorsCFO / Transmission EVP of Finance - Report financial liquidity and position to the company Board of Directors, providing financial oversight and recommendations to the board and CEOCFO / Transmission EVP of Finance - Develops and manages strategic financing initiatives (restructurings, working capital facilities) including interaction with banks and the analysis and recommendation of various financing optionsCFO / Transmission EVP of Finance - Presents annual update to rating agencies and provide ad hoc updates as necessaryCFO / Transmission EVP of Finance - Leads the development of financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives and capital project additions
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:
10+ yrs organizational leadership experience focused on corporate finance or corporate development in the energy infrastructure sector; MUST HAVE CPA or MBAWorked in Chief Financial Officer, Managing Director, VP, Sr. VP, EVP, or C-level roles for a company involved in transmission utility or renewable energy operationsMust have experience leading and taking full accountability for company corporate finance, FP&A, and investor relations initiativesExperience with the development of company financial forecast, liquidity assessments, project sales process and debt sourcing strategiesExperience managing 3rd party service providers such as banks, rating agencies, and placement firmsWell versed in corporate governance, budget development/tracking, services contracting and project managementWell versed in transmission development activities including P&Ls, physical grid operations, regional control centers, planning, and business strategyPrefer experience in working with ERCOT and TRE, or other similarly structured Independent System Operator (ISO) and Regional Entity (RE)Experience with and knowledge on current NERC, FERC, and other Reliability organization standards (TRE), operating policies, procedures, and guidelines.
