We are seeking a Process Production Engineer to join our small but dynamic engineering team at a specialty chemical manufacturing facility. This role is heavily focused on day-to-day production support, process optimization, and continuous improvement, covering areas such as process efficiency, quality, and process control.In addition, this individual will have the opportunity to learn and eventually take on regulatory permitting responsibilities, supporting compliance initiatives for the facility.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on support for daily production operations, troubleshooting process issues, and driving efficiency improvements.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles (Six Sigma, 5S, etc.).
• Work on process control optimization to enhance plant performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve quality, safety, and productivity.
• Learn and progressively take ownership of regulatory permitting and compliance responsibilities.
• Contribute to capital projects and process modifications to enhance plant performance.

Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of industry experience, ideally in specialty chemicals or a PSM-regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles (Six Sigma, 5S) is highly .
• Experience in process control is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with air permitting and regulatory compliance is a plus.
• Must be a hands-on engineer who enjoys variety, works well in teams, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Minimal travel required.
