Chemical Project Engineer
Project Engineer required. My client is a leading Resin and Polymers manufacturer based in Wigan that supply products to a range of industries globally. They are looking to hire an experienced Project Engineer to join their established team in Standish, Wigan. The ideal candidate will have a background in managing Engineering projects, will be familiar with a Chemistry and Process environment, will have previous COMAH experience and will be based within a commutable distance of Standish, Wigan.
Project Engineer Position Overview
Manage all phases of project including design, procurement, planning, installation and evaluation
Creating designs and equipment specifications
Identifying, planning and managing resources which may include liaising with external contractors
Identifying and manging potential risks in the project
Delivering projects on time, to expected quality standards and within budget
Contribute to the verification and signing off of designs
Project Engineer Position Requirements
At least 5 years' experience in Mechanical Project management
Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical ETC…)
Technically proficient in Mechanical design if equipment such as Agitators, reactors and pumps
Strong working knowledge of the Chemistry industry, this will include an understanding of semi-batch reactors
Familiar with management systems including permit-to-work, management of change & Lockout - Tagout
Experience of COMAH sites
Based within a commutable distance of Wigan
Project Engineer Position Remuneration
Salary £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00
33 days holiday inclusive of public holidays
