Our work consists mostly of large Commercial and Industrial Electrical Installations.

SCOPE OF WORK: Chief Electrical Estimator is responsible for managing the estimating dept. and estimation process of electrical systems and installations in construction projects. This involves analyzing project specifications and blueprints to determine the scope of work. They will prepare detailed cost estimates, factoring in materials, labor, equipment, and any contingencies or risks. Collaboration with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors is expected to gather accurate information on requirements and pricing. The estimator also prepares bids, offering clear breakdowns of costs and ensuring compliance with owner’s requirements. Additionally, estimators are expected to identify cost-saving strategies through value engineering without compromising quality, safety, or compliance. The senior estimator role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, cost control, budgeting, and estimation software, as well as strong communication and attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and lead the electrical estimating dept. and process for multiple projects, including but not limited to new construction, renovations, and complex electrical installations. Accurately assess the costs of labor, materials, equipment, and overhead for electrical projects, including wiring, lighting, power distribution, and other electrical systems. Prepare detailed and comprehensive electrical estimates and proposals for submission to customers, ensuring that all aspects of the project scope are included. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that estimates align with project specifications and customer expectations. Provide recommendations to reduce costs or improve project efficiency without compromising quality or safety. Engage with customers, vendors, and suppliers to clarify project requirements, negotiate pricing, and manage change orders as necessary. Identify potential risks in the estimation phase, such as schedule constraints, scope changes, or material availability, and propose strategies to mitigate them. Mentor junior estimators, reviewing their estimates, providing guidance, and sharing best practices to ensure high-quality, accurate estimations. Stay updated on current market trends, material prices, and labor rates to ensure competitiveness in the bids. Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and changes to support project tracking, auditing, and future reference..
