Chief Engineer

Hospitality Talents , a recruitment agency specialising in hotel profiles, is currently looking for an   experienced and highly motivated Chief Engineer  to join the team of our client, a luxury hotel in Brussels. We are looking for a competent and motivated individual to join our client's team as a Chief Engineer. Responsibilities: Oversee all hotel maintenance operations, ensuring effective and efficient operation of all engineering systems, equipment and facilities. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance programs, including preventative maintenance schedules, to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance of all equipment and systems. Manage the maintenance budget, forecast expenses, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or customer satisfaction. Lead and inspire a team of skilled engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with other departments, including housekeeping, front desk and food and beverage, to ensure seamless coordination of operations and promptly resolve any maintenance-related issues. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to facilities engineering and management, and implement best practices accordingly. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for employees and guests. Requirements French language is mandatory and good knowledge of English Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management or a technical field. Proven experience in engineering and facilities management Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with an eye for detail. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
