If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and get the job done, we’re looking for you!Role Overview: As the Chief Engineer, you will be an integral part of our management team, responsible for the technical upkeep of our 300+ room hotel. Your expertise will ensure all equipment, installations, facilities, plumbing, and lighting are maintained to the highest standard. Complex tasks will be outsourced and coordinated by you to guarantee quality and cost-efficiency.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the technical team, ensuring quick and efficient resolution of issues, preventive maintenance, and handling ad-hoc complaints.Oversee repairs and maintenance of equipment, plumbing, fittings, lighting, and installations.Ensure hotel safety and fire safety, coordinating with external companies as needed.Perform periodic checks, maintenance, and cleaning of kitchen installations and equipment.Responsible for legionella management and long-term planning for installations and major maintenance.Coordinate emergency response, organizing and conducting training, drills, and evaluations.Report directly to the Operations Manager and be a part of the Management Team.Who We’re Looking For:Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or hotel industry.MBO (secondary vocational education) level of working and thinking.Ability to work independently with a hands-on attitude.Background in engineering/maintenance.Excellent communication and coordination skills.Proficient in English (Dutch is highly appreciated).Solution-oriented and flexible attitude.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in hotels with over 250 rooms.Electrical engineering background, or maintenance.Previous experience in a management role or building a team.What We Offer:Salary range of €3500-€4000 with up to 20% bonus scheme based on hotel/personal KPIs.Part of a highly dynamic hotel that values innovation and sustainability.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Interested?
