CIS Project Leader – Lead & Requirements Manager (Remote/Hybrid options available)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership & Strategy: Lead the strategy and approach for the system upgrade, including the development of major deliverables and ensuring alignment with business goals. Provide clear direction and keep the team focused on milestones and outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work across multiple PMO program managers (Technology, Testing, Deployment, Organizational Readiness, and more) to ensure all workstreams are updated regularly, dependencies are tracked, and critical milestones are met.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify risks and obstacles early, create proactive mitigation strategies, and drive the removal of roadblocks to keep the project on track. Manage governance processes, including issues, risks, change requests, and decisions.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the communication hub for program status reporting, keeping program leadership and executives informed on key updates, changes, and progress. Ensure transparency and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Oversee vendor deliverables and KPIs, ensuring they are completed on time per contracts. Track program milestones and monitor progress, providing regular updates to leadership.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assess reporting tools and dashboards for ongoing awareness and to foster continuous improvement of program status. Ensure best practices are being followed across the board.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and guide the workstream program managers. Set expectations, track progress, and help solve challenges to ensure smooth execution.

Job Requirements:

    Experience:

    • Minimum 7+ years' hands on relevant CIS experience in managing complex projects, with a focus on IT systems and large-scale, multi-year programs.
    • Proven experience in leading teams through complex project life cycles, including working with diverse project sponsors and business units.
    • Strong background in IT, with extensive knowledge of application development technologies and methodologies.
    • Prior experience managing and leading multi-discipline teams within a matrixed organization is essential.

    Knowledge & Skills:

    • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and align teams with the overall vision and objectives.
    • Strong communication skills, able to lead discussions with senior leadership and clearly convey complex ideas to a wide range of stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to influence others and lead through change while managing competing priorities.
    • Deep understanding of PMI-based project management methodologies and Agile tools.
    • Expertise in vendor management and maintaining strong customer/vendor relationships.
    • Analytical and risk management skills to drive project success and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
    • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.

    Education/Certifications:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly .
    • SAFe certification is desirable.
    • Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification is a plus.
