CIVIL DESIGN ENGINEERS\nLEEDS (Hybrid)\n\nOverview\n\nA great opportunity to be involved with a diverse range of exciting projects and make a meaningful impact on millions of lives the UK, leaving a legacy for to come.  \n\nOur client is one of the largest and fastest growing environmental consultancies in the world.  In addition to a variety of major long-term frameworks that they currently support across the UK, their hard work has culminated in the award of the “Better Rivers” framework by United Utilities, within which they will lead the design and project management of numerous schemes to improve our rivers across the Region.\n\nAs a result, they are seeking passionate and ambitious Civil Design Engineers to join their teams in Manchester, Preston, Leeds and Cumbria.  As a valuable part of the team, you will play a crucial role in the water industry, and work with the largest water companies in the region, ensuring a positive and enduring influence on communities.\n\nAbout the role\n\nYou will support optioneering, outline, and detailed design for a diverse range of projects.\n\nKey responsibilities will include:\n\nInteracting with clients to grasp their specific needs and preferences.\nCreating an outline and detailed design drawings, as well as associated construction-ready documentation.\nOffering input into the development of Feasibility-level designs and Optioneering assessments.\nGenerating concise and well-organised design calculations, reports, drawings, and other deliverables, including both outline and detailed design drawings and relevant construction-ready documentation.\nCollaborating with contractors, the supply chain, and various project stakeholders.\nMentoring and providing support for the professional development of graduate engineers.\nAbout you\n\nSuitable candidates should be able to demonstrate:\n\nDemonstrated proficiency in technical design across multiple disciplines within project environments.\nGood grasp and working knowledge of relevant British Standards, UK Industry Codes of practice, and Water Specifications.\nPreferably degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a relevant technical subject. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.\nIdeally will have 2 - 5 years post qualification experience in similar civil design engineering role with consultancy, or utility business.  Previous experience of drainage or wastewater projects would be an advantage.\nAffiliation with a professional institution like ICE, or CIWEM, or working towards membership.\n\nRewards\n\nOur client has long recognised that their success is built on the expertise and dedication of their employees.
