Civil Design Engineer - Water

Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking experienced Civil Design Engineers to join their dynamic teams in Leeds and Manchester.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead and contribute to the design of water and wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, pipelines, and drainage systems\nDevelop concept, outline, and detailed designs in accordance with client specifications and industry regulations\nCarry out hydraulic analysis, earthworks design, and structural assessments related to water projects\nWork collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including MEICA, process, and geotechnical engineers\nEnsure designs meet health, safety, environmental, and quality standards\nAssist in mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance\nEngage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to align project requirements\n\nKey Requirements:\n\nDegree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline\nChartered or working towards Chartership (ICE or IStructE) is desirable\nExperience in civil design for water infrastructure projects\nExperience in pipelines, drainage, earthworks, and reinforced concrete structures\nProficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and/or InfoWorks ICM\nFamiliarity with UK water industry standards (Sewers for Adoption, DMRB, and Eurocodes)\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects\nIf you are an experienced Civil Design Engineer looking for a new contract opportunity in the water sector, we would love to hear from you.
