DescriptionCivil EngineerLeicester An opportunity has arisen for a Civil Engineer to join a large multi - award winning Engineering and Environmental Design Consultancy with a proven reputation for technical excellence and exceptional client satisfaction. You will be joining a design development team in Leicester which delivers a wide variety of consultancy services to a large client base, both local and national. The transport and infrastructure design service are responsible for providing several engineering services across multiple sectors, at all stages of our clients' project, from inception through to commissioning. In this role you will be working on challenging and multiple projects simultaneously, you will be undertaking preliminary and detailed design of roads, levels, drainage, and external works in both the public (adoptable) and private realm. You will be providing technical support activities on more than one project, as determined by the Team Leader and/ or other senior members of the team and be required to work with limited support and supervision, and take responsibility for your own learning, along with supporting the development of more junior members of the team.For this role you will need an aptitude using industry standard design software packages, including AutoCAD and Civil 3D (although extensive experience of PDS will also be considered) and MicroDrainage. You will understand the multi - disciplinary nature of projects from planning stage, through to completion and have experience liaising with both internal and external bodies, including planning authorities, statutory undertakers, and national bodies such as the Environment agency.
