Job Overview
We are seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing various construction projects from inception to completion. This position requires strong technical skills, excellent project management abilities, and the capacity to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders. The Project Engineer will ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with industry standards.

Specifics: From a geotechnical standpoint, we need a candidate who knows how to drive parameters, conduct geotechnical analysis including slope stability, deep foundation, etc. We would prefer someone with a bare minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical consulting and professional engineering licensure in at least one state. It would be a bonus if the candidate has project manage experience. Specifically, the type of people we need will come with consulting experience. This is much more important that construction-based experience for our current needs. The candidate should be proficient in technical writing as well.

Duties

  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Utilize construction management software such as ProCore and Primavera for efficient project tracking.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and clients to facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and review schematics, contracts, and construction estimates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise during construction.
  • Implement best practices in project coordination and management to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation related to project status, risks, and milestones.

Requirements

  • Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D for design and drafting purposes is .
  • Experience with project management tools such as Prolog or similar software is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, schematics, and contracts effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is but not mandatory. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • This position will require 50% travel
