Dieffenbauch & Hritz (D&H) is currently seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to join our growing engineering and architecture design team in Abingdon, VA. The qualified individual will work within the design team on a wide range of mechanical, structural, and civil engineering and architectural projects.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in development of engineering plan sets.
• Help in developing construction specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
• Aid in creating scope of work documents, and project schedules.
• Attend and actively participate in project meetings.
• Work collaboratively as part of a design team to meet the client’s scope, budget, and schedule.
• Preform varies engineering calculations and draft reports.
• Preform field measurements and inspections, and draft reports.
• Willingness to learn new design software as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
• Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience
• Experience with the following software:
  • AutoCAD
  • AutoCAD Civil3D
  • Revit
  • Microsoft Excel
  • MicroStation is a plus but not mandatory
• Engineer in Training (EIT) is a plus.
