Homeyer Engineering, a leading engineering firm in Texas, is seeking a Civil Engineer with approximately 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and directing general civil/site projects from inception to completion.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Plan, design, and direct general civil/site projects, including supervision and oversight of engineering studies, design, and plan production.

• Design streets, earthwork, water, sewer, and storm drainage systems, ensuring project needs are met.

• Obtain permits through local, state, and federal agencies as required for project execution.

• Coordinate, direct, and manage the work of subordinates and consultants, ensuring project deadlines are met.

• Interpret and apply local and state policies, codes, and standards related to project design and planning.

• Effectively communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.

• Read and understand highly technical or specialized material relating to project design and engineering specifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.

• Five years of engineering experience with three years minimum.

• Strong understanding of local and state policies, codes, and standards related to project design and planning.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to coordinate, direct, and manage the work of subordinates and consultants.

• Proficiency in reading and understanding technical and specialized material related to project design and engineering specifications.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid State of Texas Driver's License (Class "C") required.
