Position Overview:
As a Geotechnical Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in our dynamic team, working on a range of projects that involve complex geotechnical challenges. You will be responsible for conducting investigations, designing solutions, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet department fees and profit goals.
- Organize and conduct engineering investigations.
- Plan workflow and develop well-defined scopes for projects.
- Outline and prepare straightforward reports or sections of more complex reports.
- Work under the periodic review of more experienced professionals.
- Provide engineering services during construction activities, including preparing records, progress reports, and observing construction procedures under guidance.
- Research feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications.
- Prepare preliminary estimates of man-hours, costs, and material quantities.
- Coordinate with other disciplines as required.
- Perform field observations, quality assurance, and quality control inspections.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical concentration ).
- Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering .
- Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) registration .
- Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Department of Transportation work .
- Excellent communication skills.
Salary:
- Position is full-time.
- Salary will be commensurate with experience.
