We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer specializing in hydraulic modeling to join our team. The successful candidate will design, analyze, and model hydraulic systems, including water distribution networks, stormwater drainage systems, and wastewater collection systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of hydrology and hydraulics principles, proficiency in hydraulic modeling software, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Ideal Professional Civil Engineer Experiences: Wastewater Collection, Treatment, and Disposal Systems to include Gravity Sewers, Pumping Stations and associated Force Mains, Wastewater Treatment Plants to include associated Processes and Piping, Land Application of Treated Wastewater, Reclaimed Water Systems, Water Distribution and Treatment Systems to include Water Treatment Plants with associated Processes and Piping, Distribution Mains, Booster Pumping Stations, Ground and Elevated Storage Tanks, Groundwater Wells, SCADA Systems and Permitting.

AutoCAD with Land Development Desktop (LDD), Site Development for Commercial and Industrial Facilities to include Grading, Storm Drainage, and Utility Layouts, Subdivision Development to include Lot, Roadway, Water, Sewer and Storm Drainage Layout, Gravity Sewer Collection and Water Distribution Systems and the Permitting of Water and Sewer Systems Designed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain hydraulic models for water distribution, stormwater drainage, and wastewater collection systems using industry-standard software.

  • Conduct hydraulic analyses to evaluate system performance, identify deficiencies, and develop improvement solutions.

  • Perform water quality modeling, floodplain analysis, and environmental impact assessments as required.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop integrated solutions that balance engineering, environmental, and community needs.

  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design documents to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

  • Contribute to the development of proposals and participate in project meetings with clients and regulatory agencies.

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in hydraulic modeling and civil engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydraulic modeling and civil engineering.

  • Proficient in using industry-standard hydraulic modeling software, such as InfoWorks, HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources principles.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative engineering solutions.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and guidelines related to water resources and environmental management.
