Title: Civil Engineer - Land Development Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada - HYBRID Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 (experience dependent) Reference #: 16575651 About: Our client is looking to fill a Senior Civil Design Engineer role in their Calgary office. They are a multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm specializing in notable projects throughout Western Canada. This is a mid-sized firm with a family-feel approach toward their work culture. Role & Responsibilities: Responsible for the development, design, and management of municipal and land development projects. Collaborate with internal colleagues in other engineering disciplines, leading project meetings and communicating necessary information. Work directly with clients onsite, maintain regular communication with regulatory and approving authorities. Create and review project deliverables (drawings, reports) for accuracy, paying strong attention to detail. Preparation of project proposals and submissions. Keep aware of current and upcoming industry expectations, codes, standards, and customer needs. Assist with business development, new opportunities, and client relationships. Help mentor and monitor junior staff (Junior Engineers and Technologists). The Ideal Candidate Has: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in civil engineering and projects, preferably in land development projects. P.Eng designation in Alberta through APEGA is mandatory. Bachelor and/or postsecondary studies in civil engineering. Ability to communicate with various stakeholders (colleagues, field staff, clients, approving municipalities), act as a team-player. Detail-oriented, thorough, organized, and methodical approach to tasks. Self-motivated to continuously improve, ability to plan strategically, and work independently. Creative problem-solver, welcome unorthodox approaches to resolving issues. Ability to report directly to Senior leadership team. AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microsoft Office Suite.
