What You’ll Do

  • Design and Planning: Create grading plans, drainage systems, water distribution, and other critical infrastructure for land development projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet city, state, and federal regulations, including zoning and permitting requirements.
  • Stormwater Management: Develop stormwater solutions, including detention/retention ponds and erosion control measures.
  • Utility Design: Plan water, sewer, and utility systems for residential and commercial developments.
  • Project Management: Oversee budgets, schedules, and deliverables, maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Fieldwork and Construction Support: Perform site inspections and provide troubleshooting during construction phases.

Qualifications
For EITs:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 1 year of land development experience.

For PEs:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, including project management responsibilities.

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Civil 3D is required.
  • Experience with Storm-CAD, Water-CAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or GIS tools is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with hydrology modeling and sustainable design (LID) is a strong plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Leadership skills for mentoring junior engineers and guiding projects.
