What You’ll Do
- Design and Planning: Create grading plans, drainage systems, water distribution, and other critical infrastructure for land development projects.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure designs meet city, state, and federal regulations, including zoning and permitting requirements.
- Stormwater Management: Develop stormwater solutions, including detention/retention ponds and erosion control measures.
- Utility Design: Plan water, sewer, and utility systems for residential and commercial developments.
- Project Management: Oversee budgets, schedules, and deliverables, maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Fieldwork and Construction Support: Perform site inspections and provide troubleshooting during construction phases.
Qualifications
For EITs:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of land development experience.
For PEs:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience, including project management responsibilities.
Technical Requirements:
- Proficiency in Civil 3D is required.
- Experience with Storm-CAD, Water-CAD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or GIS tools is highly valued.
- Familiarity with hydrology modeling and sustainable design (LID) is a strong plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Leadership skills for mentoring junior engineers and guiding projects.
