Civil Engineer / PM - Townsville - 2 years+ (REF922)

This engineering, design and project management consultancy continues its long history in winning and delivering a broad range of engineering projects. An opportunity now exists for an engineer work on a 2 year  project (with option for potential extension). It includes both new road work as well as upgrades and rehabilitation. This contract work shall be approximately 200 working days per year at a likely average of 4 hours per day (1,600 hours from July 2022 to Jun 2024) The role includes administering contracts with engineering consultants who will be tasked to provide a service to deliver the detailed designs of various projects/ works packages. Once the designs have been completed the Project Manager/ Engineer will then supervise the delivery and finalisation of projects that have been funded for delivery. Not all projects will transition into the implementation phase. Ideally the Project Manager shall have experience in: • Greenfield and Brownfield road design, • Road safety and traffic engineering optimisation, • Construction of minor works • A knowledge of DTMR specifications, standard drawings and contract management.
