AAI Engineering, a mid-size firm located in the Portland Metro Area, offering civil and structural engineering, planning and landscape architecture services.  We are currently looking for an experienced civil engineer project manager to join our team. Our civil engineering department specializes in commercial and industrial site development and our clientele includes architects, developers, building owners, public agencies, building product manufacturers and contractors. For over 28 years we have been dedicated to service, flexibility and technical expertise, with engineers licensed in 15 states.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, please have the following:

  • At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in site development, including up to date working knowledge of designing utilities, grading, jurisdictional storm-water requirements, and jurisdictional approval processes
  • Project Management experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Civil3D and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to work on several projects simultaneously without compromising quality of work
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  •  Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to engage with internal and external parties to solve complex project-related challenges in a solution-oriented manner
  • Desire and ability to mentor and shape junior staff
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Professional registration required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering reports, construction documents, and specifications
  • Develop project proposals, estimates, contracts, and schedules
  • Act as main point of contact for projects
  • Engage with consultants, contractors, and vendors to meet project objectives
  • Manage project team, design, and budget, coordinating and deliverables while ensuring quality
  • Review work of junior staff
  • Provide quality assurance oversight for project documentation
  • Perform additional tasks to meet project goals and deadlines
