Remarkable Jobs are recruiting on behalf of a growing UK-based engineering consultancy.

We are seeking a Civil Engineer (Water) to join their team, working across Slough and Basingstoke. This is a hands-on role, involving multi-varied tasks, and requires someone methodical with excellent numerical skills and strong grammar.

Civil Engineer (Water) Role:

As a Civil Engineer (Water), you will work across both office and site environments, contributing to detailed design and project delivery within the UK water sector. This role requires technical expertise, strong project management skills, and a proactive approach to client and stakeholder engagement.

Civil Engineer (Water) Key Responsibilities:

Deliver detailed design projects within the UK water sector.

Split time between the Slough office (design, planning, and client meetings) and Basingstoke sites (site-based work, inspections, and project execution).

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

Plan and manage project resources, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.

Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide high-quality engineering solutions.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including contractors, structural engineers, and environmental specialists.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.

What They Are Looking For:

Essential:

UK-based experience in civil engineering within the water industry.

Strong background in detailed design, including trunk mains, distribution mains, and production site civils.

Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers.

Willingness to travel between Slough and Basingstoke regularly.

Desirable:

Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or actively working towards it (ICE or similar).

Prior experience in an Engineering Manager pathway.

Knowledge of structural analysis tools.
